Legal experience: Mr. Hayden’s experience includes insurance bad faith, personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, and workers’ compensation. He has extensive experience representing insurance companies and insureds in matters involving insurance bad faith and serious medical issues. Mr. Hayden has also counseled clients in coverage related matters. Mr. Hayden recently completed an arbitration of a complex commercial insurance dispute arising under a funding agreement between insurers in relation to the settlement of wrongful death claim in South Dakota.
Recent trial experience: Mr Hayden recently participated as a member of our trial team in the successful defense of a federal patent infringement claim tried to a jury in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
Insurance experience: Prior to law school, Mr. Hayden was employed by a large, multi-national insurance company in various roles, including that of a Product Manager.
While in law school, Mr. Hayden served as a General Editor on the Denver University Law review and interned for Chief Judge William Sylvester in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District. Additionally, he served as a Senator representing the interests of his class in the Student Bar Association.
Hobbies and interests: Outside of the office, Mr. Hayden enjoys the outdoors and is often exploring Colorado with his dog, Scout. Mr. Hayden is an avid cyclist who has completed numerous “century” rides and is a member of the Wheels of Justice, a cycling team consisting of Colorado lawyers focused on raising money for the Colorado Children’s Hospital.
